Description
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is Apple's largest Pro iPhone, announced in September 2026, offered here brand new with 1TB of storage. It pairs a 6.9-inch ProMotion OLED display with the 2nm A20 Pro chip and iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence. It suits buyers who shoot a lot of photos and video, play demanding games or want long battery life in a large phone. Standouts include a main camera with variable aperture, three 48MP rear cameras, pro video tools such as ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2, and faster wired charging than the previous model.
Key features
- A20 Pro performance. The 2nm A20 Pro has a 6-core CPU running up to 4.93GHz and a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and hardware ray tracing. Graphics are over 30% faster than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a larger vapour chamber helps sustain performance.
- 6.9-inch ProMotion display. The Super Retina XDR OLED panel runs at 2868 x 1320 (460 ppi) with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz and an Always-On mode. It reaches 3,000 nits outdoors, dims to 1 nit and has an anti-reflective coating and a smaller Dynamic Island.
- Variable-aperture main camera. The 48MP Fusion main camera offers f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8 or f/4.0 apertures with second-generation sensor-shift OIS. In dark scenes the variable aperture can let in up to 50% more light.
- Three 48MP rear cameras. Alongside the main camera sit a 48MP 13mm ultra wide with macro shots and a 48MP 4x tetraprism telephoto. Together they give 8x optical-quality zoom, 2x zoom out and digital zoom up to 40x.
- Pro video. It records 4K Dolby Vision up to 120fps, with ProRes up to 4K120 to an external drive, ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, ACES and Genlock. The 18MP Center Stage front camera records 4K Dolby Vision up to 60fps.
- Battery and charging. Apple rates it at up to 29 hours typical use and 43 hours video playback, and GSMArena measured an Active Use Rating of 19:20 hours. Wired charging reaches 50% in about 15 minutes with a 60W or higher adapter, and MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging are supported.
- Fast, modern connectivity. The Apple C2 modem provides 5G and Gigabit LTE, while the N1 chip adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. The USB-C port supports USB 3 at up to 10Gbps and 4K HDR DisplayPort output.
- Durable build. An aluminium unibody is protected by Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back. It is rated IP68 for depths up to 6 m for 30 minutes.
