Description
The Sony DualSense Wireless Controller is the standard controller for PlayStation 5, launched alongside the console in November 2020. It suits PS5 owners who need a replacement or second controller, as well as PC, Mac and mobile players. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers add texture and tension in supported games, while the built-in microphone and mute button let you chat without a headset. It connects over Bluetooth or USB Type-C and runs on a built-in 1,560 mAh battery.
Key features
- Adaptive triggers. The L2 and R2 triggers create changing force and tension, for example when drawing a bow or braking. The effect works in games that support it.
- Haptic feedback. Haptic feedback replaces traditional rumble and produces textures and effects in supported games. It gives more detailed feedback than the DualShock 4.
- Built-in mic and speaker. A built-in microphone array and a dedicated mute button let you chat without a headset. There is also a built-in speaker and a 3.5mm headset jack.
- Cross-platform connectivity. It works with the PS5 console, PC, Mac and mobile devices over USB Type-C or Bluetooth. PC titles that support haptics and adaptive triggers can use them.
- Motion controls and touch pad. A built-in accelerometer and gyroscope enable motion controls. The touch pad also clicks as a button.
- USB-C charging. The built-in 1,560 mAh lithium-ion battery charges over USB Type-C, which is also used for wired play. Its input rating is 5 V, 1,500 mA.
