- A16 chip performance. The A16 chip pairs a 5-core CPU with a 4-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine, built on a 4 nm process. GSMArena measured Geekbench 6 scores of about 2595 single-core and 6157 multi-core, with an AnTuTu 10 score of 1414489.
- 11-inch Liquid Retina display. The IPS display runs at 2360 x 1640 pixels and 264 ppi, with 500 nits brightness. True Tone adjusts colour to the room, and an oleophobic coating helps resist fingerprints.
- Landscape Center Stage camera. The 12MP front camera sits on the long edge, so you are centred when the iPad is in landscape on a keyboard or stand. Center Stage keeps you in frame during calls, with 1080p video at up to 60 fps.
- All-day battery. A 28.93Wh lithium-polymer battery is rated for up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi or video playback. Charging is through the USB-C port.
- USB-C with external display. The USB-C port handles charging, DisplayPort output and USB 2.0 data at up to 480Mb/s. It can drive one external display at up to 4K resolution and 60Hz.
- Pencil and keyboard support. It works with Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil (1st generation) for notes and sketching. The Smart Connector on the left side supports the Magic Keyboard Folio.
- Capable rear camera. The 12MP Wide camera has an f/1.8 aperture, autofocus with Focus Pixels and Smart HDR 4. It records 4K video and offers panoramas of up to 63MP.
- Touch ID and stereo sound. Touch ID in the top button unlocks the iPad and authorises Apple Pay in apps and on the web. Landscape stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos playback.
