- Stronger noise cancellation. Active Noise Cancellation removes up to 50 percent more external noise than AirPods 4 with ANC. Transparency, Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness modes are included.
- H2 chip and improved acoustics. The Apple H2 chip drives a new multiport acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ. A 3-band custom EQ is available in Settings.
- IP57 water resistance. Both the earbuds and case are rated IP57 under IEC 60529, up from IP54 on AirPods 4. This means they can withstand submersion up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.
- All-day battery. Up to 6 hours of listening with ANC off, or 4 hours with ANC on. The USB-C case brings the total to 20 hours.
- Personalised Spatial Audio. Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking creates an immersive sound stage. Creating a personal profile requires an iPhone with a TrueDepth camera.
- Clear calls and recordings. Dual beamforming microphones support calls and studio-quality audio recordings. Voice Isolation helps keep your voice clear.
- Smart features. Live Translation starts by pressing both stems at once and needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. You can nod or shake your head to answer Siri, and share audio with a second pair of AirPods.
- Light open-ear fit. Each earbud weighs 4.3 g and uses an open-ear design with no ear tips. The build uses 40 percent recycled material overall.
