Description
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone, opening from a 5.4-inch phone into a 7.6-inch screen with a nano-texture anti-glare finish. This brand-new unit has 256GB of storage and runs the A20 Pro chip, the same chip found in the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. It suits buyers who want a larger screen for reading, video and multitasking without carrying a separate tablet. It stands out for its 5.2mm open thickness, 254g weight, grade 5 titanium build with IP68 rating, and battery life of up to 24 hours of typical use.
Key features
- Two OLED displays. The inner 7.6-inch folding OLED runs at 1878×2670 and 430 ppi with a nano-texture finish, while the outer 5.4-inch OLED runs at 1398×2034 and 460 ppi. Both screens offer ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On, HDR and up to 3,000 nits outdoor peak brightness.
- A20 Pro performance. The A20 Pro has a 6-core CPU, a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, a dual 16-core Neural Engine and hardware ray tracing. It is built on a 2nm process, with a vapour chamber and graphite layer spreading heat across both halves.
- Thin titanium build. Open, the phone measures just 5.2mm thick, and it weighs 254g. It uses a grade 5 titanium foldable frame with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and is rated IP68 to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes.
- 48MP dual cameras. A 48MP Fusion Main camera with ƒ/1.6 and sensor-shift OIS is paired with a 48MP ultra wide camera with a 120° field of view. The setup offers a 2x optical-quality crop, a 4x optical-quality zoom range and 4K Dolby Vision video up to 120 fps.
- Long battery life. Two lithium-ion batteries deliver up to 24 hours of typical use and up to 44 hours of video on the outer screen. Wired charging reaches about 50% in 20 minutes with a 60W-capable adapter, and MagSafe and Qi2 support up to 25W.
- Touch ID on either screen. A Touch ID fingerprint sensor is built into the side button and works whether the phone is open or closed. The folded design uses Touch ID in place of Face ID.
- Apple Pencil support. The inner display works with Apple Pencil (USB-C) for notes and sketches. Hover is not supported.
- Modern connectivity. The Apple C2 modem provides 5G, while the Apple N1 chip adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. USB-C supports data transfer at up to 10Gb/s.
